How to Remove Stains and Spots from Clothes

Getting stains and spots on clothes is a common issue and removing stains is a challenge. Stain removal is quite simple, you just need the right tip. In this article you will find many tips to remove stains and spots from your clothes.

1. Get Rid of Perfume Stain from Cloth
• Apply citric acid on stain of perfume on cloth rub and rinse.

2. Remove Kajal or Kohl Stains
• Salt can remove kohl/kajal stain from cloth. Apply salt on stain and wash.

3. Rose Flower Spots
• If you want to clean rose flower stain from your dress then first mix corn flour in water and make a thick consistency paste, apply on spot and leave until dry. Afterwards rub the stain and apply lemon juice with salt and use any washing powder to wash.

4. Rust Stains
• If there is rust stain on cloth then take lemon juice or vinegar in a bowl and dip stained part into bowl leave for a while and rinse, do again if needed.

5. Ink Stains
 For black ink spot, rub tomato piece and then use washing powder, rinse and iron well.
 Blue ink marks can be removed with applying milk and lemon juice. Rinse and iron.
 Rub green chili on ballpoint ink marks then rinse and iron.
 Hair spray also removes ballpoint ink stains.

6. Paint Stains
• Before drying oil paint stain on cloth remove it with thinner and rub well till oil paint leave cloth. Wash with strong detergent.

7. Ketchup, Chocolate, Cocoa and Make up Stains
• First clean Ketchup, Chocolate, Cocoa and Make up stains with good quality strong liquid detergent. It will take out oil from stain. Then add bleach in water and make sure bleach would not spoil cloth color afterwards clean the stain.

8. Hair Dye Stains
• Sometimes hair dye stains spoil the fabric, to remove this stubborn stain take a little amount of glycerin and warm it then apply on stain. After 15 minutes apply washing powder, use brush to wash and rinse then iron.

9. Blood Stains
• For removing blood stains, dip cloth into chilled water and rub well. Then apply boric powder or ammonia along with glycerin, wash after 10 minutes and iron.

10. Tea, Coffee and Juice Stains
 If tea or cold drink spilled on bed sheet or clothes then quickly sprinkle salt on stain and rub ice cubes, rinse and iron.

Never wash tea or coffee spots with soap. Only use detergent if immediate washing is not possible then absorb on paper or dry cloth then clean by damp cloth.
